Meet Jennifer

Jennifer Wilks

Jennifer was 14 years old when she was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia (AML). She courageously battled the disease for three and a half years, spending more than 350 days in the hospital and undergoing three bone marrow transplants.

Throughout her journey, Jennifer maintained an unwavering spirit and a constant smile, as reflected in these photos. She was a vibrant and compassionate young girl whose greatest aspiration was to support other children and families facing similar challenges once she recovered.

On November 25, 2005, Jennifer passed away after her courageous fight.

Today, we honor her legacy by carrying forward her vision—supporting children and families across Central Texas and bringing joy to those who need it most. Mary and I find comfort in knowing that Jennifer is watching over us, her spirit continuing to inspire all that we do.
