Who We Are

The Jennifer Wilks Foundation is a 501c3 foundation. It was established in 2005 to honor Jennifer by raising funds for the charities that helped put a smile on her face during her battle with AML.

Our goal is to help the children who are cancer patients, and their families who are right now fighting a similar battle at the Dell Children's Hospital in Austin, Texas.

What We Do

We provide and serve meals to the families on the cancer unit at the Dell Children's Hospital every Wednesday of each month. This has turned into something special for these families and for us too! We served over 1700 boxed meals in 2025 and over 30,000 in the past 20 years!

Each year, we grant a "Make A Wish" for THREE local children battling cancer here in Austin, Texas. Last year we helped to grant 4 wishes. One year, we granted Yazmin's wish to go to New York with her family to shop, and then on to a special treat to see the Rockettes perform. We've GRANTED 65 WISHES since 2005!!

On Christmas Eve we serve a special Christmas meal. Last year was our 19th year and because of YOUR generosity, we were able to provide 61 children with Amazon Gift Cards, Christmas stockings and a Teddy Bears. We had 17 families at the hospital in 2025. We were also able to provide the parents with an Amazon gift card as well. We passed out a total of 75 cards to patients, siblings, and parents. In keeping with our tradition, we also provided the families on the 3 East cancer unit, PICU, and NICU with a meal of turkey, dressing, green beans, mashed potatoes, and a slice of pie. We served 75 meals. Special thanks to Hoover's on Manor Road for the Christmas meal.

With your donations we help support the "Leukemia & Lymphoma Society" and "His Grace Foundation" in Houston, Texas.

We support the Dell Children's Christmas Party for the children on the Oncology Unit, including purchasing games, gift cards and toys. They had over 100 children at the event in 2025.

We have stepped up our support Camp Discovery. This is a week-long camp for all the cancer children on and off treatment. Jennifer LOVED Camp Discovery!

This year we're going to provide some Gaming units for the cancer clinic and 3E cancer unit at Dell Children's Hospital. We are hoping to expand to other hospitals in the area with meals and MORE!
